Liturgical Ministry |

All of our celebrations of the Sacraments, including the Mass, are coordinated by the Pastor. Many volunteers assist with the various functions and activities which enhance our Faith by providing a spiritually enriching celebration for our community.
Altar Servers lead the procession to the altar at the beginning of Mass, assist the Priest at the altar at several points during the Mass, and lead the recessional at the end of Mass. Arts & Environment: Volunteers work with church decor and live plants to enhance the worship space, commons area and chapel throughout the Liturgical seasons. Contact: Helen Smith, 798-8988
Care of Altar Linens: Volunteers launder and iron altar linens on a monthly rotation basis. Contact: Marilyn Pollard, 798-8247
Children's Liturgy of the Word: Adult volunteers lead 4-6 year old children who participate in a separate and age-appropriate Liturgy of the Word during Sunday liturgy. Training and materials are provided. Child Protective Service background check and VIRTUS training required. Contact: Marty Moran, 798-5039
Eucharistic Ministers: Confirmed parishioners assist the presider in distributing Holy Communion during Mass. Contact: Helen Smith, 798-8988 Kim Lefler, 227-3431
Funeral Ministry: In the event of a death in the family, please inform the Pastor. Funeral services and Masses are coordinated by the Pastor with members of the bereaved family. As at all Liturgies, ministers are needed to assist at Funeral Masses as well. Contact: Sybil Crone, 798-9494 Carol Filipek, 364-0904
Lectors (Readers) welcome the Faithful to the celebration of the Eucharist, proclaim the Word of God during Liturgy of the Word and lead the community in prayer at the General Intercessions. Contact: Susan Gardner, 798-4549
Liturgy Coordinators help oversee preparations for Mass and provide support to other Liturgy ministry coordinators in these preparations. Contact: Walt Connor, 798-8456
Music Ministry: The Choir leads our community in music and song giving spirit and voice to our Faith and enhancing our participation in the celebration of the Mass. These volunteers also give concerts at senior citizen facilities and for other charities. Instrumentalists and youth are most welcome. Contact: Val Hostetler, Music Minister, 266-0022
Nursery: Volunteer adult parishioners care for children 6 months to 3 years old during Sunday Mass. All families who utilize the nursery are asked to volunteer on a rotating basis.
