MOPS international mission: "To nurture every mother of preschoolers by meeting her distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ.”St. Ann's MOPS is a ministry that strives to meet the needs of every mother by providing an accepting and welcoming community by sharing faith in a personal and non-threatening way, by mentoring and building relationships, by focusing teachings on areas of common interest, by developing leadership skills and by serving St. Ann's church and community. Our ministry also meets the needs of our children by providing a nurturing preschool-like environment wherein they can experience God's love. St. Ann's MOPS is a ministry celebrating motherhood and our love of God.
Meeting Times: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, September through May.
Membership: All mothers of preschoolers (birth through kindergarten) from the Hanover Community. Membership limits based on ability to provide childcare in the MOPPETS program.
Needs for volunteers: - MOPPET Workers - 2nd Wednesday of the month, 9:00 am to 2:00pm, comfortable working with children ages 3 months to 5 years. Background checks and VIRTUS training are required. - Speakers - persons able to share in a topic area that is relevant to the group. Topics are chosen in the summer prior to the MOPS year in relation to the groups yearly theme. - Goods—Toys and supplies for the MOPPET classrooms. Craft supplies for moms’ activities.
