SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY LIFE

Chairperson for Parish Community Life: Jay Cummings

The Social and Community Life Committee promotes a truly hospitable atmosphere, a spirit of community and a sense of belonging, by providing social events that not only build and strengthen relationships, but also reach out to new and inactive members to involve them in parish activities.

Casino Night : This event is a highly popular social event for adults, a party with food and drinks and tons of fun and prizes. With the Parish Hall set up to resemble a Vegas casino, and beautifully decorated to fit a selected theme, this community building event — our biggest fundraiser of the year — requires a great number of volunteers to make it a success. A coordinating team is needed.

Sunday Hospitality (Coffee and Donuts): As a way of strengthening a sense of community in the parish, a crew of volunteers is needed to provide coffee and donuts for parishioners after the 8:30 and 11:00 Masses on Sunday morning.

“The Window”: The parish newsletter focuses on recent and current parish activities, programs sponsored by our various ministries, and items of related interest. It promotes a deeper understanding of our Catholic faith by highlighting how our activities are related to the mission to our parish and the message of the Gospel. Groups and individuals are encouraged to submit articles and photographs (hard copy or email) to the Office for consideration.
